My Grandmother

She taught me how to laugh, she taught me how to love.
She taught me how to pray to the good Lord above.
She taught me about the Golden Rule to treat others good
She taught me to stand up for myself, because no one else would.

She taught me to be compassionate and to never ever lie.
She taught me that happiness is something that money just can't buy.
She taught me to be kind to animals and the children in my life.
She taught me not to worry even in a world filled with strife.

This poem's about my grandmother, who meant the world to me.
She passed away not long ago and in my heart she will always be.
Her love was unconditional and she filled my heart with joy.
I will always remember her laughter and her lessons I will employ.

So if you still have your grandmother, tell her you love her everyday.
You never know when God will need her and come to take her away.
